Get that leech off me!!!

Got research to do… Had set my mind on doing the AirRail project over the museum design. Catches my attention the moment I read thru the design brief.. I was into hotel and façade lighting. Cool…
Attended the 1st briefing lesson this afternoon… almost the whole class went. There are 6 main areas we have to focus on… the prof told us to chose one areas we would like to focus on and do some research on the particular areas.. after giving some serious thought I decided to go for the ballroom research. I find it fun and interesting. Not much people wanted to do this area as they think it is too boring. Maybe because of the work ballroom. People tends to have the 1st impression of only dancing and party area. But to me: wedding, conference, meeting, seminar, party all could happen in this ballroom. So I find it extremely challenging….
Initially only 3 people chose doing research for ballroom… but suddenly that Taiwan girl wanna to join my team for the discussion. Grhhh… I’ve been wanted to get her off my back and she is so F*** ing thick-skin of following me in whatever I do… Cant stand her lar…

Cold weather today...

Had my 1st technical english class today... was pretty fun... We had a lot of interaction during the class... the lecturer would be expecting more interaction and feedback or rather participation during this class...
We did a english test paper as well... the lecturer wanted to know where is everyone standard.. we even have to write a small passage about our own country... was pretty fun...
That Taiwan girl sat beside me again... i've been avoiding her already and yet she still comes and sit by my side.. i was like totalli black out for a minute...
After the test, she told me she wrote the passage about her own country funny politics... I was like cant she write somethings else..

Weather was very bad today.. no sun at all... when i woke up in early morning, the sky was very cloudy and it gives me the moody feeling... expected it will be very cold... indeed... 9pm and it is still drizzling outside... the temperature outside now is 12 degree....

Visit to Schwerin

Saturday.. went to another small town today… Schwerin. It is about 30 minutes train ride from my location.. Had research some information before going over… set my mind to go to the famous castle in Schwerin…
Woke up late today as I’ve set the alarm to be PM instead… So when they called me I got a shocked and jumped out of bed immediately.. Within 10 minutes I rushed down to meet my trip mates.. So paiseh.. Luckily we didn’t miss the train.
When reached Schwerin, we immediately planned out route and decided to go to the castle straight. The castle was build on an island isolated by itself and we have to cross a bridge to get into the castle museum. This week happen to be their Buga Schwerin week, which means their garden week.. so there are many activitites going on in the Castle Garden… The admission tickets cost me 18euro in total.. heartpain but still worth it lar… Upon seeing all the arch decoration, sculptures, portraits and learning their history I was totally captivated.
Schwerin had left me a deep impression. Their building style was so different from Wismar. The castle really reflect the image of a fairy tale story to me… too bad.. I’m not a dreamer…

1st lesson on Basic Science

Just came back from school. Had attended the 1st lesson for Basic Science… The class was taught my one of my well-liked Prof Rohde. Decided I have to be fully prepared with my digital camera with enough charged batteries to last me the whole morning. No handout would be given so in order not to miss any information. I had to take down photos and read thru again. Self-initiative and time management had now become so important for me already.

I was so lack of general knowledge that I had a lot of catching up to do… A lot of history regarding architecture and designer ned to be researched. I don’t wanna attend the class without knowing all these information before hand.
My class people are still indecisive about what elective to take. I had already decided… am going to have 5 compulsory module for this semester and 5 elective module… going to be a super buzy semester…

1st day and 1st project....

1st day of school.. greeted by the faculty director. Almost 300 students in the design faculty… Cool… confirmed my course intake is 25 student this year… We were introduce to our professor and some lecturers. Went on a tour to our commonly used studio… Exciting.. many of the professor were so … handsome… cute… I like their features….
Had a project on the 1st day. Have to present by 2molo at 2pm… Grp project… I was team up with Kayo, the Japanese girl, Mustaffa from Turkish and Max from Germany. Our task is to create party lighting for the Baumhaus (Tree House) for the fresh Grad parry on next week…
After some discussion in the afternoon, we all went back to brainstorm and came out with brilliant ideas.. My task now is to gather all information and prepare the powerpoint for 2molo discussion again before the 5 minutes presentation..
Rosy just msn me.. she was somehow complaining to me about her team members. One of the girls doesn’t seem to understand the whole project situation and she is having problems communicating with her… well.. I only give her some advice and ask her to explain slowly to the girl…

Hamburg Trip!

Just have my lunch… cooked porridge and some vegetables with meat… Full already.
Lesson is going to start tomolo..when my class start, I will have lesser time..
The whole grp of us went Hamburg yesterday for a one day trip… 15 people went in total. A very big group. Met at the bus-station 6.45am, which was really early… by the time we reached Hamburg it was already 9plus… so we started our itineraries. Initially we were touring in a whole grp but this big grp made everyone so unhappy… We spend most of the time waiting for one another… So decided that we split up and go places of our own choice. I went touring ard with Paulo, a thai girl. Both of us doesn’t wan to go shopping so we stick with one another to visit the famous churches and museum in Hamburg. We both actually clicked and were of similar taste. A lot of things we both have the same thinking. We found the entrance fee of St. Nikoli too pricy so we just walk ard the surrounding and took photos. The same goes for the museum… we both would rather spend it on visiting the museum in Berlin rather than in Hamburg… We did a lot of walking… really walk and walk and walk..
We only spilt out and parted our own way when the touring ended and she went shopping for clothes and I went touring on the street of Hamburg alone. I cant imagine me touring Hamburg street alone. But I actually did that here. I went Saturn, their biggest electronic building to walk ard to kill time. The building was really huge… full of electronic products. There was a small theatre which allow people to take a rest and watch some german movie. As I was really tired, I just join in the crowd to watch the show. Although I couldn’t understand what they were talking but I just focus on the pictures.
Had toured Wismar, Rostock and Hamburg… in November I think will be going to Berlin as there will be a lighting seminar going on there.

Party animal tonite!

Just came back from keeliang's birthday party... it's a little early but i guess i'm a bit drunk... Venue was in marshall's room. It was so smoky coz of all the heavy smokers there... All alcohol were laied on the table.. Drank a few cups of mixed alcohol... plus i was too tired. So i decided to MIA earlier...and come back to be a good girl. My clothes were so stinky and i had to wash every things before i wanna rest...
2molo we are going to visit hamburg... total of ard 15 people are going together... mostly were my classmates. Cool... i wanna go visit the famous St. Michaelis Church and a few museums... and of coz the asian supermarket...

Friday... I'M SO SLEEPY

Just came back from my German class, the class is getting harder and harder… Had to seek help now.

Met one of my roommates just now, she is a German. From Lubeck… which means German… Cool… but didn’t disturb her much as she just moved in so let her have her spare time to unpack all her stuff.

Well… for my class… I’m starting to have negative feeling on this Taiwanese girl… She was sitting beside me in my german class… she was so gross and disgusting.. burping all the way thru.. Yuck… and she would always comment on my pronunciation.. the german teacher finds it okie for me but she would always tell me my pronunciation is worng which really I find it very…. Annoying…

Whenever we met new classmates, we would intro ourselves and what is our country official language. She would keep telling people that my official language is English and I’m very weak in Chinese. I dun bother.. just becoz Joel always wanted me to translate Chinese to English for the other frens… she would always like to step in and make comments… which I feel it is somehow rather rude. She is giving me the impression that she wanted to be ahead of me in everything… in term of studies (which I already had some backgrd in) and languages. As the course is conducted in English, her official language is Chinese so I can predict my year in Wismar will be very interesting when communicating with her. But in term of group project which there will be a lot…. If I team up with her… I can sense disaster as she always likes to make decision and be the leader of all things… Hmmm……. Just hope that she doesn’t backfired everything…

Buzi Thursday

Internet was not working since last night. The connection from the building was having problem…. So nobody in haus 29 can get on the net…only till late noon then all connection was back in service…. Luckily…..

Got many activities going on today.
Had met up with my class professor earlier on… there was a short snack session in our Arch Haus 7A. Met up with most of the classmates as well… this year the intake was only ard 20 people… Small grp as compared to previous batch. 2 from Turkey, 1 from Mexico, 1 from Japan, 3 from Thailand, 2 from Taiwan, 2 from Indonesia, 3 from China and me from Singapore. Heard the rest of the student will be from Germany. From the introduction just now… mostly were not that fluent in English… therefore for the Chinese and Japanese student.. I became their translator… Now I had to cope with both English and Chinese… sometimes can be quite fun cracking my brain to search for the correct words to use…

After the meetup, I was invited to the Chinese exchange student dorm… We hadour 1st dinner session at Haus 25.. Quite a distance from my Haus… when walking back the weather was super cold… I was like shivering all the way… but the dinner was really nice.. We made our dumpling here. Quite an experience for me…

Yummy Ice-cream

Tasted their famous ice-cream twice… 1st time was in Ikea at Rostock… vanilla cone…2nd time I was being treated to the famous Italy gelato in Wismar town… Elis ice-cream… yummy…mango yogurt… the taste was really very very yummy… and it was not that expensive…0.8euro for a big cone. Had told myself I’m going to have it everitime I went to town but… have to depend on the weather as well…… Different feeling of having ice-cream when I was in China the previous time… it was pretty cold here…

Bike = Bicycle

Just came back from the city area… had already transfer this month rental over… and settled all the banking issue here. If no problem… in a few days time my atm card will arrived in my hand…

Actualli we wanted to get ourself a bike (bicycle), the main transport in this small town is by bike… but the bike shop owner is such an ass… cant stand talking to him.. met him at the Bahnhof yesterday… he wanted us to check out the most significant architect in german. We were all like… WHAT… we ned to take a test before buying the bike… I almost fainted. He can talk nonsense for almost an hour and in the end we still cant buy the bike. We can only buy the bike on the 28th when the student event is over…

DInner!!! What a joke!

Just came back from Marshall’s place. I was invited for dinner there. Monday I went over and I cooked for them. Tonight it was their turn to cook for me. I brought Rosy there with me. Rosy is my newly made Taiwanese fren in the same course. Out of politeness, we went to Netto (supermarket nearby) to buy some dessert and drinks over.

Choirul was invited as well. But the joke was… Choirul was suppose to prepare additional dishes but he only brought dessert.. and on top of the joking part was he brought two other fren along… and some plain rice. The few of us was like… WHAT! KL was f***ing all the way… It was really a joke.

So no choice, 8 people share two small dishes with white rice… we were so pathetic…. After the dinner, choirul took out his dessert. Yuck! His dessert taste like medicine as commented by KL. I only had a few bite and the rest was down in the toilet bowl. Choirul didn’t even have his own cooked dessert.
What a funny and pathetic dinner we all had.

Day 3 in wismar

10pm now in Wismar, it should be 4am now in spore. Everibodi should be asleep at home now. I’m tired again. Hand are aching. Done all my washing today. There are washing machine and dryer but I didn’t used them. Why… the laundry room was at the basement. I didn’t like the feeling of basement.. too creepy and quiet… somemore usage per time will cost me 4euro… dun wan to spend the money so I would rather wash myself and hang inside my room to dry… not quite used to the food yet.. so I didn’t eat much since I’ve arrived. Still miss homecooked food the best.
Had a video call from daddy and mummy… saw baby kaden as well. So happy.

Safe and Sound in Germany!

Reached my destination, safe and sound. After 21 hours of travelling in total, with plane and train. Didn’t noe where on earth I got the courage from to travel alone to this small town of germany, Wismar. Now my journey of education had began.

It rather messy when I was in hauptbahnhof train station. The station is so buzy and messy as it was the central station. Thanks to the staff working there, manage to ask the right people and board the train to bad klein in time. Didn’t miss the train thot. Didn’t dare to buy ani food on the way as I had my big and bulky luggage to guard. Luckily got Jiejie handmade aixin sandwich to last me thru. Muck….. Rita's fren came to pick me up at wismar train station. 2 nice guy, they helped me carry my lugguage

Didn’t sleep very well last nite as it was raining at midnite so it was super cold. Looking out of the window…. The sun was shining brightly in the sky here but later will sudden rain heavily. Been told that this was their changing season so had to be used to it. In November it will be worse, it will not have fallen rain but fallen snow.. it will be even colder.

Went to the supermarket yesterday and bought myself some food supplies. Grapes, macaroni, cereal and milk. I was searching for milo to my horror, they told me that milo is a no no here. The German dun drink milo at all.. What… ganno miss my milo with biscuit liao.
